Spreading Kindness with K3 Holdings/Alpine LA Properties on National Random Acts of Kindness Day
Apr 22, 2025
At K3 Holdings and Alpine LA Properties, our mission is rooted in the belief that every person deserves
dignity, stability, and the opportunity to thrive. The passing of Pope Francis is a profound moment for
people of all faiths to reflect on a life lived in service to others and a voice that consistently called the
world to do better.
Pope Francis was more than the head of the Catholic Church. He was a global moral compass, a
steadfast messenger of humanity, humility, and hope. From his earliest days as pontiff, he extended
compassion to the most vulnerable and cast a spotlight on the marginalized. Regardless of one’s religion
or belief system, his consistent call to recognize the inherent dignity of every person resonated far
beyond the Vatican.
As The New York Times noted, “Francis didn’t speak up only in support of those he considered
vulnerable. He used his enormous platform as the spiritual leader of an estimated 1.3 billion Catholics to
push back against world leaders who he and his supporters worried demonized migrants, the poor and
the marginalized for political gain.”
Pope Francis reminded us that social justice is not a partisan issue, instead, it is a moral one.
The Pope reminded the world that the poor are not statistics, but people with names, stories, and
dreams. He urged the global community to respond not with fear, but with solidarity. Not with
exclusion, but with embrace.
At K3 Holdings and Alpine LA Properties, we believe that safe and affordable housing is one of the most
fundamental expressions of human dignity. We know that homelessness and housing insecurity are
driven not by personal failings, but by systemic issues like poverty, inequality, and a lack of investment
in the wellbeing of our communities.
Pope Francis’ life work was an invitation to build a more compassionate world. To build a society and
community where peace is rooted in justice and where everyone, regardless of circumstance, has a
place to call home.
As we remember his legacy, we are inspired to redouble our efforts. Housing is more than a roof over
someone’s head, it is a foundation for opportunity, community, and the kind of shared mission Pope
Francis envisioned for all of us.
May we honor his memory by continuing the work he believed in so deeply and lift up the vulnerable,
advocate for justice, and build a community and a world that reflects the love and dignity each human
being deserves.
